Hey there! My names Alana, I’m 27 years old. On the 26th of June I was diagnosed with stage 2 Breast Cancer. I decided to create this space to be able to inform other women about my journey with Breast Cancer. I want to offer support to all women who are experiencing cancer regardless of where they are in their journey.
This has been both emotionally and physically challenging and has really tested my state of mind. Breast Cancer doesn’t run in my family, unfortunately I’m the first. It’s probably the last thing I thought of when I was waiting for results. I had found a lump last year and went to a doctor who told me it was fat and sent me on my way. When I started this journey, there wasn’t a lot of places I could go to, to direct me in what I’ll be feeling, what my body will go through and how I can feel good about myself during the huge stages that Breast Cancer takes you on.
I have decided to make it my mission to speak to as many women during my treatment, and to document everything that was happening to me and happening to others. Everything that’s on here is recommended and I have personally been using during this period of time. I also had to learn very quickly how to keep your mental state together as it is the biggest part of this journey. It really affects how the treatment works on you so I’ve included what I did to keep myself together.
You will also be following what happens after I finish treatment and what I do to fix my mind, body and soul. I hope by doing this that I truly help as many women as I can and also raise awareness of Breast Cancer.
